Introduction to Construction
Our flagship cohort programme, taking people from "never set foot on site" to "earning on one" in a matter of weeks.
We're a Greater Manchester social enterprise running training programmes that help people too often left out, including young people not in work or education, women, ex-offenders, veterans and the long-term unemployed, to build real careers in construction.
Proud to partner with employers, training providers and community organisations
We design and deliver training programmes that move people from the margins of the labour market onto live construction sites, with the tickets, the confidence and the connections to stay there.
Our flagship cohort programme, taking people from "never set foot on site" to "earning on one" in a matter of weeks.
A dedicated pathway for women entering an industry that needs them, with wrap-around mentoring, role models and real placements.
Health & Safety awareness, the CITB test and CSCS card support; the basic tickets every learner needs to get on a site.
Programmes don't end at certification. We stick with learners through their first months on site to help them settle and progress.
We work with contractors to sponsor cohorts, host placements, run site visits and shape pathways into real, paid work.
Auditable evidence for partner contractors' Social Value / TOMs commitments. Real outcomes, real stories, no fluff.
Launched in 2024, our flagship programme takes participants from "never set foot on a site" to "earning on one". We combine classroom learning with site visits and mentor support, ending in a real placement with one of our partner contractors.
The construction industry is short of people. Whole communities are short of opportunity. Our programmes sit between the two, closing the gap, one cohort at a time.
We work with community partners and referral routes to find people who'd thrive on our programmes, not just those already at the front of the queue.
Classroom learning, site visits, mentoring and the tickets they actually need: H&S, CSCS, the basics that mean they're useful from day one.
Direct placements with partner contractors, plus ongoing aftercare so learners stay in work and partners get evidence of the social value delivered.
Our programmes are short, hands-on and built around real construction work. You learn alongside a small cohort, meet contractors face to face, and finish with the qualifications you actually need on site.
Sponsor a cohort or an individual, host placements, mentor learners or unlock a pipeline of work-ready people, while delivering real, evidenced social value.
Underwrite a full programme intake, or fund an individual learner through CSCS, H&S and into employment. Your brand, your social value.
Take cohort graduates onto your sites for live placements, with our team supporting both sides through the first weeks.
Share what you know. Site visits, talks, mock interviews, anything that helps learners see what the industry really looks like.
Auditable outcomes for your TOMs / National Social Value Framework commitments, built into the partnership, not bolted on.
Cohort graduates leave us with the basic tickets and the right attitude. A steady source of new entrants when you need them.
If your project has specific labour needs, we'll shape a bespoke cohort with you: content, target group and outcomes mapped to your scheme.
Whether you're sponsoring one cohort or building a multi-year pipeline, the principles are the same: real people, real outcomes, and a partnership built on relationships rather than spreadsheets.
Every place on a programme is a person, a family, a community. Here's the shape of what we've delivered so far.
